It is always an honor when our satisfied clients ask us to come back to provide hotel photography for more of their properties. We had previously photographed the Holiday Inn Express in Vernon, TX so we were excited when we got the call from the Hampton Inn in Vernon.
One of the benefits of working with repeat clients is that they know what it takes to make their photographs turn our well. Prior to any of our hotel photo shoots, we send a detailed guide entitled “How to Prepare for your Hotel Photo Shoot”. Rarely have we seen anyone who took as much time reviewing the guidelines than the team at the Hampton Inn.
They worked as a team to make sure that they had chosen the best rooms and had prepared them so that they were photo ready when we arrived. We provided them with aerial photography and aerial video so it was important that their grounds were as prepared as the hotel itself. What this preparation means is that we can focus on fine tuning instead of general prep. In this case, there was very little fine tuning necessary.
One other thing this hotel did well was that they had an entire team available for us from their general manager to their head housekeeper to their maintenance engineer. Everyone chipped in to make the shoot successful. Perhaps the most helpful thing they did was to block off the parking spots in front of the hotel. This meant that the front photos and the aerial photos looked so much better and allowed us many options for angles. Their maintenance engineer stayed with us during the evening shots so that we could put the cones back in place to get great daylight shots as well.
