St. Louis Hotel Photography is one of our favorite things. One of the benefits of photographing hotels for Drury is that their rooms are so consistent and their staff has a firm understanding of what is needed to get ready for our arrival.

What Made this Hotel Photo Shoot Unique
Airport hotels are usually busy in a different way than your typical business hotel. Primarily, guests are there to catch flights so they leave at different times of day. That’s where having an experienced hotel photography team is so important.
Pear Tree Inn is Drury’s budget brand but it is far from boring. The Pear Tree Inn at the St. Louis Airport is simply beautiful. Drury Hotels has realized that budget friendly doesn’t have to mean boring. They use a combination of simple but stunning colors. The beautiful teal blue in the lobby makes the hotel look like a much higher end property. The rooms are simple but lovely.
The best way to get good hotel photographs is to prepare in advance. The most important step is to iron linens! We photograph with a high definition lens which allows us to show great detail. That detailed view shows off wrinkles and wrinkles can ruin photos. Since the bed is the focal point of any hotel room, wrinkles can be distracting. Drury’s linens, including those at Pear Tree Inn, are the best we have seen for avoiding wrinkles. You can really see in the photos how well they photograph when they are ironed.
Mixing Business With Pleasure
St. Louis is only a couple of hours from our home but we rarely get to explore much. We are always either just leaving home or finally coming home from a trip when we get to St. Louis. On the trip, we had multiple hotels to photograph in St. Louis so we did some shopping for our house. After two floods, we had to completely remodel our house. The final piece of the puzzle was our granite countertops. Between photographing the St. Louis hotels, we took a trip to the granite warehouse and I was able to pick out my granite slab in person.
