Thanks to the entire team at Crown Hotel and Travel Management for building another beautiful property for us to photograph! We were so impressed with the beautiful property and as always, were grateful to the team who made this a successful hotel photo shoot.

What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique

We always love photographing hotels that Crown builds and this one was no exception. The hotel is located in a mixed use business development and the construction blended in so well with the other buildings in the area. While that is a good thing aesthetically, it made it difficult to capture the front shots of the property. Luckily for us, the property was newly opened and the occupancy was such that they were able to block of spots in front of the hotel for most of our exterior shots.

The signage on this property all faces the business park so that it can be seen better. This is where our wide angle lens comes in handy. A typical camera lens or iPhone would not have been able to capture a building this long without distortion or cutting off part of the shot.

Mixing Business with Pleasure

The hardest part of this shoot was deciding which of the fantastic coffee shops and restaurants to enjoy between our shots. The area is growing quickly even despite the slow down of retail and hospitality due to COVID. Our favorite spot was a little coffee shop, bakery, gift shop called Ketchie Creek Bakery. As a traveler with celiac, I am always excited when I find a bakery that offers gluten free options! If you happen to be in the area, be sure to try them out!

What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique

We understand that getting ready for a hotel photo shoot is a ton of work. We also understand that the work you do to prepare for your shoot will pay off in spades. That being said, we rarely expect the hotels to have done what we asked them.

The team at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites – Columbus Ft. Benning exceeded our expectations!! They were simply laser focused on providing us with the best possible canvas. The hotel is not new but it is meticulously maintained. It is less than a mile from Ft. Benning and caters to the soldiers and their families.

Mixing Business with Pleasure

The love and care that the staff provides to their guests is indeed something to behold. We were treated as valued guests and friends – not simply vendors. The owner took us and his team out to dinner to celebrate a successful photo shoot. We don’t understand why we sometimes care more about the success of their photo shoot than they do but often that’s how it feels. That was certainly not the case with this team! They were so invested in getting this done right and showed us so much kindness and respect.

We sure hope that Mr. Naik keeps building or buying hotels!!
