After photographing more than 800 hotels for more than 40 brands it is always exciting to photograph a new hotel brand. We were thrilled when we got the call from Integral Hospitality to shoot their new Tru Hotel in Waco, TX. We were even more thrilled that we would be shooting the hotel with a real pro who understands the photography requirements. Thanks to Raven Brooks of Integral for making this a fantastic experience.
What Made This Hotel Photo Shoot Unique
What made this hotel photo shoot unique was simply the fact that it was our first time photographing this brand. We always love a challenge though! The brand has a very unique look and feel and it photographed so beautifully. Our procedure for capturing photos works very well with bright, cheerful colors like this.
The hotel had been opened for a little while but we were photographing the day before their community open house and ribbon cutting. This meant that everyone was focused on making the hotel absolutely shine! We were tasked with getting all our pictures done prior to a large crowd gathering to celebrate the grand opening. Luckily everything worked out perfectly and the team at the hotel was fantastic to work with.
Mixing Business With Pleasure
This was a quick trip as we were photographing several other hotels in the area on the same trip. We spent most of our “pleasure” time getting to know our new contact from Integral and meeting the other team members from Integral who had come for the open house. We did make a side trip to Waxahachie, TX to visit the home of Meat Church BBQ supplies. We are big fans of Meat Church barbecue rubs and order regularly. We loved visiting their original store front and stocked up on all our favorites plus a few more!
